UFC "Ultimate Fighter Christ Jesus"

It seems that in this day in age, everyday feels as though we are walking into battle.

There were times when I was thrown into battles without warning. I felt as though I were fighting alone. Scripture says in Exodus 14:14 “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." At some of my lowest moments, I waited for the Lord to come to my rescue. He was silent. I searched scripture, prayed, and slept with my bible against my chest.

There are times when God is silent. It’s like when you’re taking a test, the teacher is silent but still in the room. Scripture also says in Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”

God will fight for you and with you. It’s important to choose your battles. I have had battles that I had no business fighting. They caused pain, stress and took away my focus for God’s will for my life. When I thought I was abandon by God, I was letting my emotions smoother my peace. God will fight for you, but not against you.

To sum it up, I like to think of the UFC. Yep, the “Ultimate Fighter Christ Jesus.” Jesus is the ultimate fighter and is my secret weapon. He will fight for you, beside you, and fight through you. When you accept Jesus into your heart the relationship begins. The more intimate your relationship the more you will be able to discern which battles to fight and which to leave for God to fight. Being a child of God is not an instant fix to all your battles. But it’s a good place to start. My battles now are fewer and less stressful. I could not do life without my UFC secret weapon. Well, guess it’s not a secret anymore. Lol

Blessings,

Lea Ann
